[Aer-university-standards] University Review Update October 6, 2008

Greetings to all,

 

As most of you know, AER's committees work on a biennium cycle so when we
began a new cycle this summer, a new AER level University Review Committee
was formed. Our charge is a continuation from the last biennium: to continue
and complete the revisions to AER's university review process for personnel
preparation programs (TVI, VRT, and O&M). 

 

It has taken a little time to get a full complement of committee members on
board, but we are now up and running. We are lucky to have three continuing
members and three new members so we have continuity with what we were doing
during the past biennium and new blood to energize and give fresh
perspectives. Here are the current URC members:

During the past biennium, the committee attempted to use this listserv as a
means for communicating with AER members and non-members who were interested
in the updates to the university review process. Unfortunately, we
discovered that many people were not receiving the messages and others did
not even know that the listserv existed. In an attempt to improve
communication about the university review process, I will be posting monthly
updates on the committees work to the O&M, VRT, Low Vision, and Personnel
Prep list servs. Since the information will be going out to the other lists,
we will be disbanding this stakeholders list. If you are not a member of one
of those lists and would like to continue receiving information about the
work we are doing, please email me and I will send you the monthly updates. 

 

Thank you for your interest in AER's University Review Process. Please do

suggestions about the process.
