[AERNet] conflict of interests

[Jim and Denise]

Our department has a part time private contract COMS/TVI. She also contracts to 3 other school systems. A vendor has approached her about becoming the area ( and possibly the state) representative for his company. She likes their product, has ordered many for our district, and has recommended it to the low vision clinics in the area. She loves her job as a COMS/TVI and does not want to leave it but also sees the potential in working for the company and getting their products out there as she feels they are superior items. She wants to keep her school job and add on the rep job. If she did accept , is this an ethics violation and if not, is it a conflict of interests of some sort and what would be the ramifications of such?
