I saw this, I know Hot Braille used to do this.

Braillepost offers online braille-by-post service, seeks English help

By Gerd Xhonneux

Hello,

In January 2005 Braillepost was launched.

Our job: To improve the communication between the sighted and the blind.

http://www.braillepost.be/

How does Braillepost work? It's easy!

If you want to write to a blind person but you don't know your way around
Braille or how to use a Braille embosser, you can use Braillepost:

Just write your text into our Internet form, add your name, the recipient's
name and his or her address; we will do the rest: we print your sent text on
Braille paper and send the letter to your blind correspondent via post:

Birthday wishes, Lyrics to a song, a telephone list or may be even a love
letter... and fully free of charge!

We launched our offer in German in January 2005, the French and Dutch
version followed in July. So far we have been very successful and have had
many inquiries.

Ideally we would like to offer Braillepost in English but for this we need a
partner. We need help, maybe even your help. So what are we looking for?

a.. A person or an organisation who possesses the printing facilities for
embossed printing as well as the ability to carry out the printing or the
willingness to learn the embossed printing techniques.
b.. People of good nature who are willing to offer a bit of their free
time to get involved into printing the texts they receive via Internet and
to send them on via post to the addressee.
c.. Donators, who are willing to contribute towards the cost of paper an
envelopes.
d.. People of charitable organisations, who know of or could put us into
contact with people who could help us on our quest.

If you belong to such a knowledgeable organisation, please contact us. As
soon as we have one or more partners in the English speaking part of the
world we can also launch Braillepost in English and enhance global
communication between the sighted and the blind.

Thank you for your support,

Your Braillepost team
