For those looking into Graphics and Straight Braille Text check out.
The Index Basic, is made by the same company who makes the Alva, (Sighted
Electronics?). This embosser does graphics as well as interpoint brailling,
and fits all paper sizes.

Dog ownership is like a rainbow.
Puppies are the joy at one end.
Old dogs are the treasure at the other.

The school district I work with is also interersted in purchasing an
embosser. Is anyone aware of any recent product reviews of the different
embossers with interpoint capability? Also, I had heard that the Tiger
is outstanding for producing graphics but may not always be the best for
straight braille text. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Subject: [AERNet] embosser
Hi everyone!
I currently have a Blazer embosser that has the serial and parallel
ports. It worked great, until we received new laptops through our
district. These new computers no longer have the serial/parallel ports.
We tried ordering a cable that connected the parallel port to the USB
port, but that didn't work. Now I'm thinking of ordering a new embosser
that works with a USB port because the Blazer we have is rather dated.
When I was researching online, I came across The Everest from BlinkSoft,
which I had never heard of. Does anyone have any feedback on this
equipment? Or suggestions of other embossers that may work?
Thanks for your help!
Amy
