Actually, Braille Bug is from AFB, not APH. There are also activity
books with braille samples that can purchased to be give out to the
students.

Thanks, Sheila for sharing about the Braille is Beuatiful Kit. It looks
like it would be an excellent addition to an itinerant VI teacher's
toolbox. I have also used in the past the Braille Bug materials from
APH.

Check out the Braille is Beautiful kit... it's designed for such a
purpose.
Braille Is Beautiful is a disability awareness curriculum for sighted
children, grades 4 and up. It is a fun program with workbooks for the
kids,
videos, tons of handouts, word games, and exercises. It has everything a
regular classroom teacher or youth leader needs to show sighted students
how to read and write simple Braille letters and numbers.

Could a few of you please assist me. I am trying to comprise a
list of good literature (all levels) to use as part of in-service lesson
for regular ed sighted classes to promote understanding and tolerance
for students who are blind or visually impaired.
Please list the title(s) of a few books or your favorite book. I
would like to have the name, author, (if known), approximate grade
level(s), a brief description of the book, and why you like it.
Thanks so much for your help.
