I learned about this great recruitment resource from the AER Division 17
listserv.  I added it right away into my form letter that I send to
districts looking for TVIs and COMS'.  This is too good to be kept a
secret, so I'm sharing it with this list as well!

The Northeast Regional Center for Vision Education is pleased to
announce the launch of our new Employment Center targeted specifically
for educators of individuals with visual impairments:

potential employers from our online employment resource center.
Employers from across the country are welcome to post job openings
directly to our database and review the Professional Profiles of
potential candidates for jobs they are seeking to fill at their
organization. 

The NERCVE National Employment Resource Center is a central career
resource and job search center designed specifically for five Low
Incidence Disability Educational Specialists who provide support to
people with Visual Impairments: Teachers of the Visually Impaired,
Orientation and Mobility Specialists, Low Vision Therapists, Vision
Rehabilitation Therapists and Deaf/blind Specialists. Job Postings and
profiles must reflect one of these required fields of concentration.

The Northeast Regional Center for Vision Education (NERCVE) is an
established center within the Institute for Community Inclusion that is
academically affiliated with the University of Massachusetts Boston,
Graduate College of Education. UMass Boston is New England's only
academic center for preparing Teachers of Students with Visual
Impairments and Orientation and Mobility Specialists, two key
specialties which assist people with visual impairments achieve their
goals of high quality education, seeking employment, and traveling
independently. NERCVE is committed to improving education for
individuals with visual impairments through personnel preparation,
professional development, technology and research.
