[AERNet] number of functionally blind students in USA?

            Does anyone have the following statistics:

 

1.	How many totally blind people are there in the United States and
2.	2. How many functionally blind people are there in the United
States?

 

And along these lines, what is the formal definition of what constitutes
functional blindness?
