[AERNet] ideas for very basic Abacus lesson

Hi, Kimberly - how about playing some games with them that involve
counting.. and have them keep track of their points on the abacus. Keep the
game questions real short and real easy, because the objective is to get
them to count...
Perhaps:
1. if you are wearing sneakers... move a bead/count
2. if you are wearing red...
3. if you have short hair...
4. if you have a pet...
5. if you have gym today...
Once they get past 4, they will have to set the 5 bead and clear 4 ones to
continue... shouldn't take long. The idea is to get them to use the abacus
for something useful and meaningful for them.
