Good Morning AER listserve this is Deanna Austin. I am doing a
presentation at the end of this week about adjustment to vision loss and
how the adjustment process is different for different age groups. I and
another social worker are presenting at an AER conference which has a
wide range of professionals. We are wanted to discuss what the
adjustment process to vision loss looks like to different age groups.
Below is our age groups we are using for this presentation.
Birth to age 5
Age 5-12
Age 12-18
Age 18-25
Age 25-55
Age 55+

What we are wanting to do is to say if I worked with a child from birth
to age 5 what would the adjustment process look like or what should a
professional be watching out for as they are working with this
population.
What do all of you think? What would a child of age 2 going through
vision loss be going through in their adjustment process or their
family.
How about age 13 and loosing vision? What would that look like and how
can I as a professional help them most??
Any input you have is greatly appreciated as you are the expert in your
age group.
Feel free to email me off list or to the list or call.
Thanks,
Deanna Austin

Has anyone noticed problems with sbcglobal.net handling blast email
messages
with screen-reading software like JAWS?

This occurs when blast email messages are sent but do not reach your
inbox
or junk email box; yet, the sender gets confirmation of successful but
"unopened" message transmission.

I have a large-capacity email box.

Please write me off-list at:

ajuwon at sbcglobal.net

and tell me if you have had this bad experience with sbcglobal.net

Thanks.

Paul.
