Thanks for the book recommendation Jody. What you said couldn't be truer. I think another big component is that kids need to learn to advocate for themselves which is a big part of this process. So many of our blind children expect others to do for them. Instead of a "we'll do that for you" attitude they need an "I need to do it for myself" attitude.
