Hi Board,

While I do not expect nor need to be involved in every decision that gets make regarding the conference, it is extremely unprofessional to send out this kind of update without informing the entire Board of Directors prior to its issue. People ask questions and it is inappropriate for members of the Board to be unable to answer those questions.

So what’s going on?

I do not appreciate this kind of surprise.

Hi Roberta,

I was surprised to see that as well. Maybe there were emails in the gmail account from people who wanted to register and had missed the deadline? I haven’t checked the email account recently, so I don’t know what’s going on.

Hi Roberta,

It didn’t even cross my mind to chat with everyone about it, I should’ve informed everyone at once. I texted Kassy to make sure it was feasible and it was, so there was no reason not to extend registration. It was generated out of a couple of emailed requests to reopen registration so I went ahead and did it. So far we have had 3 additional people sign up and are either at or just over 200 for the conference. The new deadline is Friday, April 16th, at 6:00 PM. It won’t be changed from that, so no more surprises.
