I am sharing the attached call for papers which I received through ICEVI and WBU. Note that the call for papers mainly focuses on eye care and vision health, but there is also mention of rehabilitation.

Thanks,
Rebecca

Dear ICEVI EXCO Colleagues

I have received the following email from Penny Hartin, inviting submissions for the special bulletin on vision that will accompany the planned WHO World Report on Vision.

Cheers Frances

Subject: Call for Papers related to WHO World Report on Vision

Dear All:
I am forwarding this to the WBU Executive and to some of our members who I know are involved in vision loss related research.
As we have informed you in prior issues of the WBU E-bulletin, the World Health Organization has embarked on a project to develop a World Report on Vision. Many of you will be familiar with the World Report on Disability that WHO released several years ago. This one will be specifically related to vision loss.  The WBU was invited to an initial planning meeting regarding this last year in Geneva and our President, Fred Schroeder has been asked to serve on the Advisory Committee for the report.
The WHO is doing a call for papers for a special bulletin issue on Vision that will be released around the same time as the report and they are doing a call for papers for that. We expect that these papers will also inform the Report itself.
I am sharing this Call for Papers with you in the event that you may be interested in submitting a paper.  The call for Papers is fairly self-explanatory in terms of the kinds of topics they are interested in and certainly I know that many of you will have information that could contribute to this significantly.
It is our hope that this WHO Report on Vision, once it is released, will be very helpful to all of us in our advocacy efforts.
With warm regards
Penny
