    Hi all: I am Kathy Gallagher, learning and development manager with  National Industries for the Blind (NIB). September 18 was my 26 anniversary with NIB. We continue creating employment opportunities for people who are blind. The areas of employment includes:  manufacturing: assembling, packaging, machine operators, and sewing machine operators

     Warehousing: computer operators, shipping and receiving, order filling

     Switchboard operators, switchboard supervisors

    contact centers: customer care representatives, supervisors

Although I do not have a count of the participants, it is my understanding that there are not very many of us on this list. Because our numbers are few and this list is not too active, please take time to introduce yourself to the other members.

I am the Division chair and work at the National Research & Training Center on Blindness & Low Vision at Mississippi State University and prior to that, worked at VR for the Blind, also in MS. I have belonged to AER since about 1992.

My term as chair ends at the conference this summer. I hope many of the persons on this list will attend.
