Salus University: Direct Service Coordinator/Supervisor Position

Greetings!

Salus University is seeking an ACVREP-dually certified Low Vision Therapist
(CLVT) and Vision Rehabilitation Therapist (CVRT) to become an adjunct
faculty member who has a passion for mentoring graduate students preparing
for a career in the blindness and low vision professions.  The position
will begin in January 2022.

Required:  This individual should have at least three years of
clinical/direct service experience as a CLVT/CVRT, maintain current
certification as a CLVT/CVRT, and demonstrate excellent communication
skills. The position is primarily remote, part-time, with flexible hours.
Occasional travel is required for observations of students at their direct
service sites.

Preferred:  Prior experience supervising interns.

Considerations:  Interested applicants with either CLVT or CVRT are still
encouraged to apply.

Primary Responsibilities:  1) meet weekly with the LVR and VRT Program
Directors , 2) secure qualifying internship placements for LVR and VRT
students in a timely manner, 3) communicate regularly with interns and
their site supervisors, 4) travel to sites (as needed) to observe interns
providing direct services, 5) grade internship assignments, 6) update the
LVR and VRT Internship Handbooks with the Program Directors (as needed),
and 7) as needed, serve as an off-site CLVT supervisor for LVR interns
and/or off-site CVRT supervisor for VRT interns.
