Subject: [Exco] Announcing ICEVI East Asia Conference, Philippines 16-18 October 2018

Dear ICEVI EXCO Colleagues

I am writing in support of Mani's recent email announcing the ICEVI East Asia Regional Conference, which will be held at the Novotel Manila Araneta Centre, Philippines, from 16-18 October 2018. The conference is chaired by Amy Mojica of RBI and Aria Indrawati, Chair of ICEVI East Asia. The conference theme is "Rights-based education and sustainable development goals for persons with visual impairment".

The Conference flyer (attached) provides information about the conference sub-themes, the organising committees, the schedule of registration fees, hotel options and the registration process. Also attached is the Call for Abstracts and Conference Registration Form. The due date for Abstract submissions is 29th June 2018.

I invite you to consider presenting a paper or poster during the conference or attending as a delegate. The Conference offers the opportunity to connect with educators, allied professionals and parents/carers from the Philippines, East Asia and other ICEVI regions. Information about the conference is available on the ICEVI website, www.icevi.orghttp://www.icevi.org, and the program and conference updates will be posted to the website in due course.

It would be greatly appreciated if you would share this information with your global and regional contacts.

With best wishes,
Frances
