Greetings AER Low Vision Division Members!

I am writing to remind you that it is time to nominate our colleagues for the prestigious AER Awards that will be given at our conference in Bellevue, Washington, in July.

We are indeed lucky to work in a profession filled to the brim with persons whose work inspires, motivates, and even sometimes amazes us.  Recognizing our members for their dedication, commitment, service, and leadership for people with visual impairments is a way to honor and lift up our profession and the quality of all of our work.

Please take the time to visit the Awards Web pagehttp://www.mmsend2.com/link.cfm?r=179541076&sid=18146573&m=1869518&u=AERBVI&j=9502164&s=http://aerbvi.org/2012international/awards.htm at http://aerbvi.org/2012international/awards.htm and review our six awards (including the Mary K. Bauman Award, Ambrose M. Shotwell Memorial Award, Alfred Allen Award, John H. McAulay Award), along with the chapter award and scholarship application. I encourage you to consider honoring the work of our colleagues through this nomination process. You can download the applications for the awards from the AER web site and send them to AER no later than April 20.

Please consider nominating your mentor, your colleague, your hero.  I look forward to seeing you in Bellevue and celebrating the success of our colleagues and each other. Thank you for your time and effort in this AER Awards process.
