Hi, Info Tech list:
This was posted to the main AER list, but I thought the people with the answer might be hiding out here.
So, magnification suggestions for this teacher?

Subject: [AERNet] Video Magnification and CCTV's
Hello All,
I have a student who came this year from our regional program in another town. One of his goals is to use video magnification equipment to access his academics. What devices, software, etc. have people used and found successful?
Thank you very much!

There are many options these days. Video magnifiers come in a variety of configurations, shapes, and sizes. It all depends on the individual user, scope of vision loss, specific environmental factors, and personal circumstances. With some specific information about the child, I could give you some general ideas.
Also, I have attached a flyer about a unique adaptive technology workshop I will be conducting on October 12, in Mobile, Alabama as a pre-conference activity for the annual Alabama Chapter of AER training conference. This workshop addresses issues just like this, using scenario driven, context specific interactions. Take a look. SS
