Subject: Business Development Training for Rehabilitation Professionals (up
to 17.25 CRC credits available)
Hello!
The National Research & Training Center on Blindness & Low Vision (NRTC) has
a NEW training: Improving Business Development Skills: A Training for
Rehabilitation Professionals. This free, online course provides the
opportunity for participants to earn up to 17.25 CRC credits. The following
is a description of the training:
Most vocational rehabilitation (VR) counselors and other professionals are
expected to work with businesses as part of their jobs, yet many are not
comfortable with this activity or do not have the knowledge or skills needed
to be successful at business development. This course was created to address
these problems and improve knowledge and skills related to engaging with
employers. Business development is more of an art than a science, but some
specific methods can be used to provide structure to this activity and help
people learn how to be successful at it. The course consists of 26 modules
broken into five major sections, plus a resources section.
The training and more information can be accessed on our course page:
www.ntac.blind.msstate.edu/courses/.
Please share this information with anyone who may be interested in the
training. If you need any other information, contact Emily Damm
(edamm@colled.msstate.edu).
