Hello fellow Canadian AER members!
I hope you are still able to attend our Town Hall meeting with the AER International Leadership:
President-Christy Shepard
Past President-Jim Adams
Executive Director-Lou Tutt

The information for the Town Hall meeting is as follows:
CALL-IN NUMBER is: 866-605-3851 (Canada) and for the USA, the CALL-IN NUMBER is: 800-882-3610. The PASS CODE for both is: 9124730#.

Call Instructions:

  1. Lou or Ginger will open up the phone line at 4:30 or just before, and once you have connected into the call, please put your phone on "Mute" so that there is no background noise during the call.

  2. When you want to ask a question or make a comment, push the number sign (pound) key and this will create a "beep" on the line, indicating that somebody wants to speak, then I as the Chair of the meeting will ask you to go ahead.

Town Hall Agenda:

  1. Welcome and Introductions-Deborah Gold, Canadian AER Board Representative. (Note, because there are 105 or so Canadian members introductions will be limited to the AER Leadership)

  2. Brief presentation-Lou Tutt

  3. Brief presentation-Christy Shepard

  4. Question and Answer period-ALL

For the Q and A, please come prepared with any and all questions about AER! We want to know what you want from AER going forward; suggestions you have for improvements to communication with Canadian colleagues; ideas for AER's assistance in recruiting new people into rehabilitation and education of people who are blind or visually impaired; and ideas for future town hall meetings also. Further, if you have concerns or complaints, do not be afraid to voice them, this is your chance and we can always learn from this exercise also.

  1. Conclusion and next steps-Deborah.
