Hi Board,
Attached is a brief proposal to make changes to our bylaws to change officer
terms from one-year (President Elect, President, Past President), 3-year
terms (Secretary, Treasurer), and three-year terms for Directors to 2-year
terms for officers and 4-year terms for Directors.
There are two options for how this might look: President Elect succeeds to
President succeeds to Past President (results in a 6-year commitment) or
two-year terms for President, 1st Vice President, and 2nd VP.
Please review these thoughts and come ready to discuss whether to do this at
all and which option to pursue if we decide to proceed. An ad hoc committee
would be good if we decide to move forward with this.
