Hi everyone!  SOMA (SE O&M Association) just contracted yesterday with a company called 10Times for their very exciting, interactive platform for our virtual conference in December.  With this platform, participants can visit with each other in the "lounge" and go into the exhibitors' "booths" to chat with the vendors, as well as attend the concurrent sessions.  We are contracting to use this platform for a year -- we've verified that it is accessible to screen readers, and we are having a company work with them to determine the best way to facilitate captioning for the conference sessions.
I'm also on the board of the DC-MD AER Chapter, and we've been talking about using it for a virtual version of our annual "Fall Vendor Fair."  If you are planning a virtual conference or other event for your AER chapter or other organization, you might consider using this platform so that your members can interact and be engaged.
If you want to know more about it, contact me and I'll be happy to give you a tour.  Next month, SOMA is having an Open House on the platform for our conference registrants and vendors so we can work out the kinks and find out which format the exhibitors and presenters prefer.  If you would like someone from your chapter or organization to come to the Open House to see how it works when there are lots of attendees, we can arrange that.
More information about the Open House and our SOMA conference is on our website at www.somaconference.org [https://www.somaconference.org/index.html]

Enjoy!
