I have a student who has memory issues. He tells me that auditory learning is best for him. He is planning to attend community college. However, although he used an Apex notetaker in high school and currently has a Braille Note Touch, he really does not use a pc and it has been a struggle for him to remember commands to access the computer or to remember punctuation. He has a Victor Reader Stream to record notes. However, he is inconsistent at best in recording notes in class. Does anyone have resources for memory challenges and teaching notetaking skills. We do not have much time before his training is finished and I feel like I am spinning my wheels with him. It doesn't help that he really doesn't see the necessity to be in skills of blindness training.
Any help would be appreciated.
