Suggestions for teaching JAWS

I am beginning to teach one of my low vision students the JAWS commands to use for things like navigating Internet sites and for checking her writing.
She is in middle school, but functions at about 4th grade level.
I'm looking for suggestions on teaching JAWS to her. For example, is there a curriculum to systemically teach JAWS?
(I have not taught it for a long time, so need some ideas.)
Thanks,
Diane, TVI

TypeAbility by YesAccessible was demonstrated at Reno conference. It teaches the JAWS commands. I am in the process of ordering it for my middle school students.

Hello,
Since you are looking for a turnkey solution, I suggest the following site :
www.mydigitalapex.com/webtraining
We use their materials in Michigan for our students and have found their
lessons to be straight forward and comprehensive.  Another source is the
training site for Jaws especially their web training called "Surf Up".
Also, you can use the app FSReader which comes with an installation of Jaws.

My district purchased the JAWS Training Bundle for 3 students in 4th grade. It is AWESOME! They successfully learned the BookPort+ (free with quota funds from APH) and transitioned the use to the training bundle. The interactive training is great and all three learners are doing very, very well. I also used this training with a middle schooler with SOD/NOH and she made progress although not complete mastery of advanced features. Another student in middle school (a dual-learner with low vision) crushed it and mastered Office and the Internet with much success and generalized his learning to use the Google Suite independently. Finally, I used an earlier version of the training bundle a few years back during an independent contract with a student who is totally blind and she too had great success.
I really like it as a teacher and all 6 of my students have done very, very well. Kudos to the VFO group on the training!
