Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Bureau of Blindness and Visual Services, and the Advisory Committee for the Blind of Pennsylvania are proud to announce the 2017 Blindness Awareness Expo Award Recipients as selected by the members of the committee. This year's theme is Access=Success in Education, Employment and Independence. #AccessEqualsSuccess Thank you to all who submitted videos and nominations for the awards.
You are cordially invited to attend the Blindness Awareness Expo on Tuesday, May 23. The awards ceremony will take place from 9-11AM on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in the Main Rotunda of the State Capitol Building, Harrisburg, PA where those selected will be presented with a certificate of commendation. Immediately following the ceremony guests will be invited to browse the exhibitor exposition in the East Wing Rotunda from 11-2PM. The exposition will promote programs and services and demonstrate and display products and technology that make a positive difference in the daily lives of Pennsylvanians who are blind or visually impaired, their families, friends, teachers, employers, and colleagues.
*Commonwealth employees must use their lunch period or use annual leave if this event is within their scheduled working hours.
