Hi, friends... does anyone have a one-page comparison of the changes from EBAE to UEB... something short ‘n sweet that can be used for a quick reference?
TIA,
Sheila
Just one page? Not sure if that would be sufficient, really, since it helps to have illustrative examples to the new rules (such as typeforms). But the “Overview of Changes” document that’s on the BANA web site is relatively short (especially if you print it double-sided). Here’s a link to the html version, but it’s also on the web site in pdf and brf formats:
http://www.brailleauthority.org/ueb/overview_changes_ebae_ueb.html
There are other checklists and resources on the BANA web site, as you know, Sheila. Because the UEB page was getting so long (something we’re working on!), we set up a subpage for teachers and transcribers with selections from the full UEB page:
http://www.brailleauthority.org/ueb/professionals-resource-suggestions.html
You can also find links on the BANA site to download the Duxbury UEB chart that has all the symbols listed alphabetically, or the Aroga Chart that has the symbols listed by category. The Aroga list might be particularly helpful to you if you’re looking for new symbols.
Hope this helps! :)
