Hello Colleagues,

I hope that you and all those important to you, including your students and
their families, are well. If you took part in the second *Access and
Engagement *study in November, thank you! We are analyzing your data along
with data from 726 others so that we can understand how COVID-19 continues
to impact education of students with visual impairments. If you haven’t had
a chance to review the report we put out about the initial impact of
COVID-19 in spring, please take some time to view the report
https://www.afb.org/research-and-initiatives/education/access-engagement-study
and share it widely. This blog post
https://www.afb.org/blog/entry/it-takes-village-access-engagement has
ideas for you on how to share and use the report.

As we prepare the second report, we want to be sure the photos we use show
how education is occurring this school year for children with visual
impairments. We’d love to have your photos! Please read and share the blog
post https://www.afb.org/blog/entry/share-your-photos-education-2021 that
contains the photo release form at the bottom (English and Spanish) that
must be submitted with any photo. Share with colleagues and families. Your
photo may be rewarded with a $25 Amazon gift card!

Thank you for all each of you do to ensure children with visual impairments
receive a high quality education.
