Mary Nelle McLennan 2016 Penn-Del AER Conference REMINDER: Call for Presentations Deadline Is December 1, 2015 Adapting to a Changing World: Expanding Your Professional Toolkit Best Western Premier Central Hotel, Harrisburg, PA April 27-29, 2016 SAVE THE DATE for the annual Penn-Del AER Conference! This AER chapter conference provides a nationally-respected venue for professionals in the vision field to share their knowledge and experience with colleagues. The three-day conference offers a wide range of relevant and engaging opportunities for attendees to enhance their skills, network with other professionals, and share ideas and insights. The 2016 Call for Presentations invites you to submit proposals for concurrent or poster presentations that detail innovative programs, creative techniques, research results or design, employment strategies, and effective practices in education and rehabilitation of individuals who are blind or visually impaired. We strongly encourage you to share your expertise and insights by presenting a concurrent session or a poster presentation. The Call for Presentations, which includes the submission form, is posted on the Penn-Del AER Chapter website at <http://www.penn-delaer.org/PennDelAER/Professional_Conference_files/2016%20 Penn-Del%20AER%20Call%20for%20Presentations.pdf> 2016 Penn-Del AER Conference Call for Presentations. A $100.00 honorarium will be awarded for each accepted concurrent presentation, and a $50.00 honorarium will be awarded for each accepted poster presentation! Please complete the Call for Presentations submission form no later than December 1, 2015. The Conference Committee will notify accepted speakers by the end of January 2016. Seeking Silent Auction Donations! We extend a big THANKS for the great participation in last year's "Silent Auction." We welcome your continued participation and invite you to donate items to be included in our 2016 Silent Auction, which will be held at the conference in April. The proceeds of the auction support Penn-Del AER's work throughout the year. If you are interested in donating an item for the 2016 Silent Auction, please send an email to Shelly Faust-Jones at sfaustjone@pa.gov and simply let her know what you will be donating. You can send the items in advance or bring them with you the first day of the conference. Thank you!
