appreciation for the legacy of Jo Stratton

Many of us remember and loved Josephine L. Stratton who was the lead author of “On the Way to Literacy” from APH as well as some of the tactile books for that series. Jo died on March 12 at the age of 95.
When I worked at AFB, I knew her as an important and reliable source of information about emergent literacy for children with visual impairments and a stalwart advocate for braille!
