Hello fellow list serve members,
I think that it is rare when a parent captures and shares moment to
moment/in real time issues across settings in a forthright, open, honest
way what it is like to have a child with a rare genetic condition that only
10 children have world wide - Bo helped find many of them thru social media
(including Facebook, Good Morning America, the Today Show and others). Bo
Bigelow is just such a parent. Tess has a complexity of
neuro-developmental challenges and he shares what it is like to go through
many different systems (e.g., medical evaluations, developmental
evaluations, special education meetings), manage family time, etc. He has
a Podcast that has weekly installments called Stronger Every Day. It is a
VERY EASY and powerful listen - he does an installment every Wednesday. It
is "addictive."
I share this Podcast as I think we as professionals as well as the families
that we work with can appreciate what is conveyed in a real, here and now
fashion. Please consider "trying it out" and sharing it as you see fit.
Appreciatively,
Terese
