Hi Everyone The Perkins Hi-Tech O&M training last month was a huge success - and the demand for this training continues! Imagine two packed days of instruction geared for O&Ms on how to incorporate technology into O&M lessons - including using technology with young students, students with multiple disabilities and more "traditional O&M" navigational apps for advanced travelers. This training is hands-on! Want to do a scavenger hunt using BlindSquare? Create a low vision digital map on the fly? Learn about these functional and fun O&M activities and more! Participants will receive a FREE copy of BlindSquare app! The GMS Hi-Tech O&M training will be on Nov. 21st - 22nd, held on the Governor Morehead School for the Blind campus in Raleigh, NC. This will be a blended Perkins workshop, meaning that there is an online component plus the two days of face-to-face training. The cost is $199 for 16 hours of ACVREP credit and the new Perkins micro-credential.
