In a very few days, all of Congress will be voting on the ADA Education and
Reform Act which will weaken the ADA.  This message is to urge you to tell
your Representatives and Senators to oppose HR 620, the ADA Education and
Reform Act.

At the crux of the matter is the contention that businesses and other
entities obligated to make services and physical environments accessible to
people with disabilities do not always know their responsibilities or that
their services or environments are inaccessible.  Therefore, they should be
provided education and given time to right the wrong before being vulnerable
to legal action.  Historically and in the case of ADA, the courts judge
whether a suit can indeed go forward and whether it is valid.  The ADA
should be treated no differently.

The ADA has been a law of the land for 27 years and yet we continue to see
discrimination and neglect.  Let's not stand by while HR 620, the ADA
Education and Reform Act weakens it further.  Tell your representatives to
vote 'No' to HR 620, the ADA Education and Reform Act.
