How are TVIs in school districts across US working with their students

The school district that I work in has closed schools since March 16,
2020 and will not reopen this school year. General Ed and Special Ed
teachers have been working with students remotely--either by giving
assignments and/or meeting with classes on Google Meets. The TVIs, as
a related service, have only been allowed to assist their students
with accessing these class activities and offering resources that
other agencies/sources have put out. We can also show parents how to
teach braille or other specific VI skills, but not work with our
students directly on their IEP--VI specific goals.
Just wondering if this is what other TVIs around the country are being
instructed to do for now. Would like to hear what others are doing
with their students.
Thanks for input, Diane, TVI

No. We are continuing to work on all the goals we can do remotely in direct service.
