Accessible 3D printing?

Hello,
I see there is a lot of activity going on around 3D printers and I would
like to jump on the 3D printing bandwagon as well.
Does anyone know of any accessible way a blind person can create images to
print? I know there are already made templates, but if I ever needed to
make my own or modify a template, how could I do that being blind?

I have seen 3D scanners, has anyone ever used one of those to create
anything?
Thanks,

Brandon Keith Biggs http://brandonkeithbiggs.com/

Brandon,

To my knowledge at this point most of the very popular programs and tools are not very accessible. The replicatorG app that makerbots originally ran on was workable. If you are looking for tools I’m afraid you would need to look at more hobbit focused tools. It seems as soon as a tool gets popular they put a fancy new GUI interface on it.  Sad really, but the work to make things accessible is open to new work!
