Teaching in groups

Asking for a friend: A supervisor is advocating that TVIs with more than
one student in a school should try to group them together for instruction.
While there are some cases in which group instruction could be helpful in
some ECC areas (social interaction, rec/leisure) what have you used to
support one-on-one instruction for braille, technology, sensory efficiency,
etc.? Any research or other documentation is appreciated.

(Note: I am an O&M Specialist and this is not a question about my services.
This is a situation for TVIs. I really am asking for a friend).

Thanks.
