Before you do a command for and in ZOOM, make sure that you alt tab back
until you hear meeting controls or your zoom number.
This is not a problem when you first connect but then students try to do a
command when they are off and wonder why it does not work--that is why.

I’m not sure if this is what you’re referring to, but in settings under keyboard commands you can set some of the commands to be global, meaning they work from whatever screen is in focus. This is particularly helpful when you have to use Word or another application to take notes during a presentation.
