Subject: Louis Braille, Touch of Genius
Good afternoon,
I'm writing to remind you of our Louis Braille Touch of Genius Prize for Innovation. The Touch of Genius Prize for Innovation was developed to inspire an innovator to continue the promotion of braille literacy for blind and deafblind people worldwide. Whatever your idea - whether a tactile-based technology project, a viable braille teaching software, a way to inspire pre-school braille learners through tactile hardware, or braille hardware for the community - we want to hear from you!
The deadline for entering your product is Monday, January 9th, 2017.
The Prize
$20,000 will be granted for professional software & apps, educational software and apps, gaming software or apps that promote tactile and braille learning, and braille or tactile-related hardware.
Attached, please find more information about this opportunity, including the submission guidelines and the application. If you or anyone you know is interested in submitting their work, or have any questions regarding this event, please feel free to contact at geniusprize@nbp.orgmailto:geniusprize@nbp.org, or call National Braille Press' main line at 617-266-6160.
Please distribute this information to anyone you know that has developed or is developing a tool along these guidelines, and encourage them to participate in this award!
Thank you,
Hannah Ransom Canning
