I just heard about Cathy this morning, and I’m aching inside, this is such a loss. She was the voice of reason, kindness and compassion, I miss her so much. I want to hear her voice again, that wonderful deep voice with so much wisdom, no-nonsense / cut-to-the-chase.
For those of you who didn’t know, Cathy died of a heart attack last Friday – there apparently is an obituary written by her daughter but I can’t find it, all I found is at https://newsok.com/article/5602995/death-of-advocate-for-blind-and-visually-impaired-in-oklahoma-evokes-heartbreak
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to Cathy’s organization NewView at https://nvoklahoma.org/donate
Very sadly,

Thank you, Dona. Yes, losing Cathy Holden is such a tremendous loss. I have had the pleasure of working very closely with Cathy for almost four years now, and she was always such an amazing leader and a truly amazing force in our field. She lived every day with such grace and passion for life and tirelessly served the blind and visually impaired with the greatest of compassion and heartfelt sincerity. I cannot express the level of sadness I have felt this past week. She will be missed incredibly.
