Subject: Book on O&M techniques published in French at the «Presses de
l'Université de Montréal »
Dear Sara,
We are proud to announce that a new O&M book written in French is now
available from the Presses de lUniversité de Montréal (PUM) since this
last January 21st. We, the authors, Agathe Ratelle and Julie-Anne Couturier
are retired professors from the School of Optometry of the Université de
Montréal. Both of us implemented the O&M services at the Institut Nazareth
et Louis-Braille in Montreal, as well as the graduate O&M professional
training program held at the School of Optometry since 2000.
This book, essentially relating to O&M techniques and teaching strategies,
is being the first one published in French. We expect that it will be of
great value to any O&M instructor teaching to visually impaired individuals
communicating in French. Aside the O&M instructors group working in the
province of Québec, the European French community has expressed a strong
interest to acquire the book. We thought that other O&M professionals in the
rest of Canada may desire to consult it. We would then be very grateful if
you could spread the information to the AER Canadian list.
The book can be obtained from PUM store at the following address.

Thanks a lot for your help.
