Colleagues,

I know many of you are dealing with winter weather on top of COVID on top
of… I wish you each health, warmth, and safety during these challenging
times.

Our AFB research team and our colleagues across the field are hard at work
preparing a report about the impact of COVID-19 on the education of our
students. The data we collected from 663 individuals in November will help
all of us better understand the successes and challenges for our students,
families and professionals. It also will help in long-term planning and
advocacy work.

To this end, AFB is seeking photos to use in the report and in other work
we do. Anyone submitting a photo before March 20 will be entered to win a
$25 Amazon gift card. We do need a photo release from anyone in a photo. We
not only want to show students but also professionals and families.

My blog post “Share Your Photos: Let’s Show What Education Looks Like in
2021

is great for sharing and also contains the English and Spanish photo
releases. I’ve attached them to this email as well.

Thank you for considering this request. I am betting you are doing some
amazing work in person, online, etc. that will help us illustrate the
creativity and commitment of those in our field. Many families will also
appreciate the opportunity to share what they’re doing. Please help us out!
